We've
just noticed that the painting guide for the New Zealand troops shows them having brown
boots. In fact, only the officers and senior warrant officers wore brown boots,
the rest wore black (see Osprey Men-at-Arms 473).
Wayne Stack had a feeling there was something wrong with the painting guide, but couldn't put my
finger on it until last night...even though he says now it seems quite obvious.
Boots were black for the privates and junior NCOs. The Ozzies had brown boots, but not us.
Apologies for those who had already painted brown boots on their Kiwis.
Thanks for the heads-up, Wayne. The painting guides have been corrected.
That's so funny I just put my brushes down and said done completed after putting last coat of wash on oh well when that's dry I'll change it better now than later cheer everyone and happy painting
